Rent increase expected

Normally, if somebody really gets too put out when they do not get their way, it's a case of “sour grapes.” The sports team they root for didn't win a game, so they get mad and so forth. Lately, a presidential election was held and Barack Obama won re-election. Romney, who was running against him, graciously conceded defeat, the gentlemanly thing to do.

Most people do not realize that congress holds much of the power and the President mostly just gives speeches and signs final laws into place. Still, people are angry and are not getting over it.

There have been a ton of backlashes, but, according to the Huffington Post, the worst is the Colorado property manager promising a rent hike to all those who voted for Obama.

Price too much for housing

According to John Obringer in Colorado, Obama’s policies make it a lot harder to run a small company. There are layoffs, reduced hours, higher taxes and more that businesses have to deal with when Obama is in office. This is why he wants the Obama voter rent increase, even though McMillan said rent is too high already.

He is going to have to increase costs on every person, but he said that voters should pay for what they voted for. For this reason, he wants renters to let them know how he voted so he can increase their costs first.

He doesn't say by how much money he would be raising the rent but did inform renters that he would be reducing office hours to two days a week. Renters have informed the press that that's just his personality and they don't know entirely if he's being severe.

Not the only backlash

According to the New York Daily News, a gun store in Arizona called Southwest Shooting Authority made it clear that Obama voters were not welcome in the store with a full-page ad in the local paper. There have been many other cases of people angry with Obama-voters.

Because of the increased costs of businesses, CEO of Papa John’s, John Schnatter, promised that an additional 11 to 14 cents would be needed on every pizza to pay for “Obamacare.” There was also a Denny’s restaurant owner named John Metz who promised a 5 percent “Obamacare surcharge” due to increased costs of business with Obamacare, according to Slate.
