About
I have worked in many industries over the years from the armed forces to a large scale LNG Construction project. My career has not always been in Health & Safety but I developed my interest through a trade union whilst working for BP Oil UK Ltd in Swansea. I represented the workforce and learnt how to deal with safety issues with management. Since then, I have moved on and have progressed into management dealing with issues raised by the workforce and working on remedial actions, in order to improve the workplace.
I am a highly motivated, versatile, conscientious and dependable individual, that looks after clients interests with a work style that is geared toward anticipating situations and providing solutions before they become problems. I have a track record of encouraging high standards in Health and Safety from all personnel.
I am passionate about safety, and have the leadership skills to deal with all levels of workforce and management.
I am a good communicator, always remain calm under pressure, and have the ability to solve problems.
I am committed to continuous improvement and able to work on my own initiative or as part of a team. I have supervisory and management experience with good interpersonal skills and the ability to drive myself and others forward. I am enthusiastic, loyal, and motivated and along with my other skills and knowledge allow me to carry out my job in an efficient and professional manner.

by David 2 years agoI have just finished my contract as the Client Site Safety Lead on the South Hook LNG Project in Milford Haven. The project was the largest and most unique in the world and is now nearing completion. I was in post for over 4 years from the start of the site based works. I am CMIOSH and looking for a new position in HSE. I would consider most vacancies as I am looking for an exciting, interesting and challenging role as either Senior Safety Advisor or Manager. I have excellent skills, both in leadership and man management, and experience dealing with senior level managers and workforce. I am 'hands on' and can work without supervision, or as part of a team. Please contact me if you have any vacancies that may suit my skills, experience and qualifications.
